Let's imagine that you want your children to learn a new language the visual way, using various subtitles and dialogs. The problem is that you don't want your children to view an entire movie, but just certain sections. For this, you could just install and use subs2srs. This Windows program allows you to combine audio or video clips and even images with various subtitle files, for helping children learn a new language.
After the application is installed and launched, the user will first need to select the desired subtitle file. The program supports the most commonly used subtitle formats, like SUB, SRT and so on. The next step is to select the folder where the project files will be saved and also the video file which will be used. Optionally, you can select a subtitle file which contains a native language, for displaying it under the target language.
Having all this information configured, the user can either preview the video file together with the two subtitle files or he can directly save them as a new video file.
Pros
It allows you to combine a target subtitle file and a native subtitle file, one being displayed above the other. Besides that, the user can preview the resulting video before actually saving it.
Cons
The interface may seem difficult at first sight, especially to beginners. Using subs2srs, you can combine several subtitle files together with a video clip, for helping children learn a new language in no time.
